On April 24, 1967, Chabonian appeared with counsel in the circuit court for Milwaukee county and entered a plea of guilty to a charge of burglary under secs. 943.10 (1) (a) and 939.05, Stats. (party to a crime). A hearing was held, and testimony was elicited in support of the plea. The defendant testified in his own behalf at that hearing. He was placed on probation, but subsequently that probation was revoked. No appeal was taken from the conviction or the sentence, nor did the defendant ever move the trial court for the withdrawal of his guilty plea.
